History

Lambert Somec Inc. was formed through the merger of two companies: Marcel Lambert Inc. and Somec Inc.

Marcel Lambert inc.

Founded in 1954, Marcel Lambert Inc. operated primarily in the electrical field. Over time, it has gained complementary areas of expertise, namely in electrical systems for large buildings and in commercial piping. It subsequently specialized in the natural gas sector, focusing on the distribution and retrofitting of industrial and commercial heating systems.

Somec inc.

Somec Inc.’s operations began in 1969. It initially specialized in machinery for industrial and commercial buildings. It then added a ventilation and air conditioning division and mechanical engineering services. Sheet metal processing, industrial machinery, construction machinery and boilermaking are also among its areas of expertise.

Recognizing the advantage of offering a comprehensive range of integrated mechanical and electrical services, and following a fruitful collaboration together, the two companies decided in early 1985 to form Lambert Somec Inc., thereby becoming one of Quebec’s leading construction companies in the field of electromechanics.

Its current leadership team would like to highlight the contributions of Denis Linteau, who has served as director and president at Lambert Somec Inc. for more than 30 years. The company’s determination and business acumen have helped it excel in completing large-scale projects.
